We Are Your Neighborhood Kids.

Illustrated silhouettes of Chuck and Chris playing acoustic guitars with the Chicago skyline at sunset

Chris may be from Jersey and I may be from Mass, but we've both been in Chicago for a long, long time — this is our home. It's where we live. It's where we play.

I came up through the Chicago theater scene. Plays, musicals, one-acts, festivals — all of it. But music has always been what I keep coming back to. Web tech pays the bills; music feeds the soul.

Chris has been on the Chicago music scene for a long time — lead and rhythm guitar with The Right Now, 56 Hope Road, and plenty of others. Nearly 2,000 shows, tours around the country, and opening slots for George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Fitz & The Tantrums, and Soulive, among others.

Chris and I have been playing together for a few years. You can find us at weddings, private events, and venues across Chicago. We are your Chicago Neighborhood Kids — loose enough for a front-porch hang, tight enough for the first dance.

03 / What We Play

Whatever
The Occasion.

01

Weddings

Ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, first dance — or any combination. We've played enough Chicago weddings to know when guests want to listen and when they want to dance.

02

Private Parties

Backyards, rooftops, birthdays, anniversaries across Chicago. A tight two-hour set or a full night that runs as long as the party — your call.

03

Corporate Events

Client dinners, holiday parties, brand activations across Chicago. We bring our own gear, dress the part, and play a setlist that fits the night.

04

Bars & Restaurants

Residencies and one-off nights across Chicago. We bring our own PA, run a clean show, and draw a crowd that stays for another round.

05

Festivals

Street fests, neighborhood festivals, outdoor stages. We show up early, play loud enough, and leave on time.

06

Something Else

Not on this list? Tell us about it. If there are people and a place to plug in, we can probably play it.

04 / FAQ

Good Questions.

What is your style?

We're a Chicago acoustic duo — two voices and two guitars, with a catalog spanning rock, soul, folk, and pop. Our sets work for ceremonies, cocktail hour, dinners, and full receptions. Loose enough for a front-porch hang, tight enough for the first dance.

Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

Yes, both. We play ceremony processionals, cocktail hour, dinner sets, and full reception sets — or any combination. Whether you want background music while guests arrive or full coverage from "I do" through the last dance, we tailor the set to the part of the day.

How early do you come to set up?

We typically arrive 60–90 minutes before our start time to load in, set up, sound check, and be ready well before guests arrive. For ceremonies, we coordinate directly with your venue or planner to confirm timing — we want to be a calm, prepared presence on the day, not a last-minute scramble.

Do you take music requests?

Yes — with a couple of ground rules. For specific songs you want us to learn for the day, just send them at least 7 days ahead so we can give the song the attention it deserves. During the event, requests are welcome from you or your guests, and if it's something we know that fits the moment, we'll work it in. Our catalog spans rock, soul, folk, and pop, so chances are good we've already got what you want.

Do you learn new songs?

Yes — we're happy to learn a few songs specifically for your event at no extra charge. Most couples ask us to learn a first-dance song or something meaningful to them and their guests. Send us the songs with as much lead time as possible — a few weeks is ideal, and we can't accept new song requests within 7 days of the event. Beyond that, our catalog already covers a lot of ground across rock, soul, folk, and pop.

What is your travel and breakdown fee?

Travel within Chicago and the surrounding suburbs is included in our standard rate — no surprise fees. For events further out, we'll quote a modest travel charge upfront based on distance, with no surprises on event day. Setup and breakdown are always included.

What do you wear?

We dress to match the formality of your event. For weddings and upscale private events, that typically means clean, considered button-down attire — nothing distracting, nothing sloppy. If you have specific guidance (color palette, venue dress code, "no jeans," etc.), tell us and we'll match it.
